Destin vacation rentals

You’ve chosen to visit Destin, Florida for your upcoming vacation. You now have a couple of important choices left before you hit the road. First, is to decide where to stay while on your vacation. Destin is full of high rise condos, hotels, beach cottages, and large homes fit for multiple families. Destiny by the Sea rentals are always an amazing choice no matter the dynamics of your group. Make sure to view a wide selection of Destin vacation rentals before making your decision. Thirdly, you’ll want to choose several fun things to do while in Destin. Below are five great options for you to enjoy during your stay.

1. Visit the Beach

This is an obvious first choice as Destin is consistently ranked amongst the top beaches in Florida and the United States. This area is widely known as the Emerald Coast due to it’s emerald-green waters that are unlike any others in Florida. The sugar-white beaches are also as soft and pleasant as you will find.

2. Rent a Boat and Visit Crab Island

Crab Island is located in the bay close to the Destin Harbor and East Pass. This area is packed with vacationers throughout the spring and summer seasons. Water depth ranges from 2-4 feet and is a playground for travelers of all ages. Here you will find floating restaurants, inflatable kid’s toys, and music barges. An excellent way to spend a day with friends or family.

3. Visit Henderson State Park

Henderson State Park is centrally located in Destin. 6,000 feet of natural scenic shoreline border the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Natural features of the park include sand pines, scrub oaks, and dune rosemary. Boardwalks provide access to the beach for swimming, sunbathing, and fishing. Two large pavilions allow for picnicking and grilling. A playground is the first stop on our nature trail and is sure to be a success with the kids. The nature trail provides visitors a rare glimpse of the coastal dune ecosystem and abundant wildlife and is pet friendly.

4. Shopping!

On those days that you don’t want to visit the beach you can shop. Visit the Silver Sands Outlet Mall, Destin Commons, Grand Boulevard, or Harborwalk Village. All of these options provide an upscale mix of large department stores and small boutiques. There are shopping options for everyone in Destin.

5. Charter a Fishing Trip

Destin is well known as the World’s Luckiest Fishing Village. The distance from the Destin shore to the deep waters is closer than any town on the gulf. For this reason a half day trip can lead to some of the largest fish that you will ever haul in. There are many options available so do your research before making a decision.

Josh,

Now, that after 15 years living in East Central Florida, we finally went to the Florida Keys. So it would be only logical to set aside a few days and go to Destin. I wanted to do it for quite some time.

Excellent information, thank you
