It Might Be Snowing, but We Are Still Going Shopping
The Erie area is under traditional Lake Effect snow storm, but my daughter and I have plans for lunch and shopping.
It's our annual birthday shopping trip and can't be missed.

BTW Hardy folks live up north even in the winter. The less hardy and the snowbirds are gone. That leaves all the bargains for us.

Have fun on your shopping trip. I love going out when it's snowing. In Northern Virginia very few are out on days like that. It's the best to feel like you have everything to yourself.
I understand your pain. In Central Louisiana we get 1-2 inches of snow at least once a year. Makes for some tough working conditions, but the show must go on!

Doug --you are right 'the show must go on' and today the show was shopping for birthday presents. Even as adult Stacy likes to shop with Mom and Mom's credit card.
JoAnn--My daughter's birthday is January 10th. When she was in high school we started the tradition of lunch and shopping and it continues many years later. Later year my mother & sister joined us for lunch. Now Mother is gone. Thanks for stopping here.

Bob--Yes, we are sending it east as soon as possible. Erie only got two inches along the lake shore, but the snowbelt, inland, got hammered. Soon the ski slpoes and skiers will be happy. Thanks for stopping.

Glad you didn't get hit as bad as some with the snow. I am heading back to MN after 2 wks in Florida. We are getting out at the perfect time as it will be 'cold' here tomorrow. Well, cold for FL, balmy for MN in January as it will be in the 40s.

Mary-Sign me up for the less hardy class. I like watching snow from afar. And as for ice, just in my drinks. What kid, regardless of age, wouldn't want to go shopping with a parent's credit card. I think I'll try to get my Mom to take me out. I'd like to start that tradtion in my family.

Mary, snow doesn't bother me...that really is the best time to shop as most people stay home. We had our first snowfall just an inch or two!

Same here with the back and forth fall/winter weather. Yesterday and today are 2 days of winter and by Friday we'll have another round of weather reminiscent of Chicago in April. No complaints, I can take this until April finally arrives. ;)
Rebecca--so true. Turns out that the city where we are did not get much either. Most of the snow went inland about five miles south of lake. I still hope to be able to cross country ski tomorrow.
Karen--Yo-yo--that is what the weather is like a yo-yo. Yes, I am happy with a bit of warm weather between the snow and cold temps. Tonight is 11 degrees. Brrr!
