"The Mysteries of Real Estate Marketing 101"

I am never quite sure what I will write in my blog until I start writing. So my last blog entry called "Ready or Not, We're On to October" was about getting comfortable in the current month's festivities, but time has a way of pulling you out of comfort mode. From that I had to explain what I meant by that, which led to my real estate marketing efforts and how there is much to do in that.

I left off my other blog post saying I would post again with all of my marketing efforts that helps generate new referrals coming in. There are many facets of what I do, so I will try to blog as much as possible when I can.

Monthly Marketing:

Items of Value - full color flyers on a different motivational, inspirational, or themed topic. October was about car maintenance, November is all about "Giving Thanks".

eNewsletter - current topics, real estate news, a South Bay Housing Study prepared by a local appraiser, and any specials I happen to be running through my business (for example, now through the end of the 2007, any escrows closing with me receive special packing/unpacking and organizing services--contact me for more details if you're interested!). Oh yeah; I also include fun topics (e.g., see my Haunted House for Sale slideshow from October's eNewsletter) 'cause you've gotta have some fun too! This eNewsletter also reflects the Item of Value for the month with a related link to a helpful website, and a Sneak Peak at next month's Item of Value in the mail.

Quarterly Marketing: 

Pop by's - where I pop by my top 30-50 supporters (meaning referrals have been sent in the past 12 months) to say hello and bring a little something which is a small token of appreciation for their support and referrals to my business and includes a marketing slogan. I did my Halloween Cupcakes (see blog post Cupcakes & Firestorms) with candy wrapped in cellophane topped off with a tag that said "It's a Real TREAT Working with your Seller & Buyer Referrals".

Magazine - this is a personalized high-quality magazine for my top 50 supporters of my business. Articles range from interesting places to visit, design & decor, and recipes.

I know there is more to write on my marketing efforts. I will have to stop now and get ready for a 6-mile run. But I'll finish up this topic later...so stay tuned!
