Just Listed and Just Sold Postcards..... There's Significant Value....Use It To Find More Business!!!
I have never tried PRINT MARKETING seriously, because of couple of reasons - firstly, when I started my real estate career, there was a craze for Online Presence and second reason - everywhere I went, I was told, don't waste money on Print Marketing.
Well, it seems it is not true! I learned it from two very influential AR members - Margaret Rome and Barbara Todaro.
Print marketing IS very powerful. As long as you are committed to it. As long as you know what works for you.
Here's a re-blog from the next 'Millionaire' on ActiveRain, my inspiration, mentor, Guru - Barbara Todaro.
It’s my opinion that when it comes to marketing, nothing is a waste, unless it’s been tested fairly and properly. There are methods that work better than other methods, but usually nothing is a waste. One of the comments on a post that I wrote mentioned that “just listed and just sold postcards are a waste.” Well, you know that would always trigger another post, right?
Just listed postcards are a valuable entity to mail, especially in neighborhood areas. Neighbors want to know who the agents might be to call for their own real estate situations. They see a sign, but they don’t know who you are or what you do.
The just listed postcard, if prepared properly, will give that information easily. All of my marketing is integrated. The “just listed” postcards that I mail have my Website and ActiveRain Outside Blog URL.
The bottom of every postcard reads: Read Barbara’s Blog: www.newconstructionfranklinma.com and www.franklinmanewhomes.com. The more people you contact and direct to your Internet sites, the more powerful your position will be in the real estate community. People want to do business with successful people. That “just listed” postcard that cost you pennies will be responsible for another “listing opportunity.” It will shake the fruit from the tree.
Just sold postcards should be used carefully today. Listings are taking longer to sell and potential sellers are paying attention to timing. If a listing has taken a year to sell, don't send a just sold postcard. That's counterproductive. I use them only if a home sells within 30 days today.
Real estate agents are always so negative about each and every task that is available to them. Be open minded folks and take a step forward to test another method for making the phone ring. It’s worked for me for decades. Don’t eliminate something without first testing the market.
Remember, you’re a “marketing agent first” and that’s what allows you to work as a real estate agent. Don’t shoot yourself in the foot by eliminating good marketing tools.
