Check out this awesome windmill in Rhode Island - such a historic monument to grace the area! I don't think there are very many of these left.  I was so impressed with the rock wall around it - looks like it has been there for at least 200 years and will stand for another 200 more! The market report is fantastic info as well to keep in mind.

Jamestown RI 02835 Real Estate Market Report - Year End 2011


 Jamestown RI homes were sold in December, as follows:

1 home sold over $1 million                                                      

1 home sold over $400,000 

There were 61 Jamestown RI homes for sale in December 2011.  The number of homes for sale on the Conanicut Island of Jamestown RI  has decreased for the third month in a row.  Yet, this is a great time to evaluate the real estate market and the coastal Jamestown shore offers a stunning array of homes for buyers in their real estate searches. 

Jamestown RI continues to have a good supply of homes for sale and the oceanfront, water front and coastal Jamestown RI homes for sale are selling at a modest pace.  The home inventory absorption rate remains a buyers market.

6 Pending Jamestown homes sales for December 2011 await closing and Jamestown RI homes sales have increased by 1 home over the prior month.  

Overall 57 Jamestown RI homes sold in 2011.

-Average Jamestown home sales price was $733,907

- Homes sold at 91% of list price

-Homes sold were on the market for 169 days.

-Home sales decreased by 22% in 2011 over 2010 in Jamestown

As you can see 9% of the 2011 Jamestown homes sold were under $300,00033% were $300,000-$400,000 and 58% were over $400,000.  During 2011, 6 Jamestown homes sold for over $1 million.  Still a great location to buy in for luxury and oceanfront homes in Jamestown.  Here is to a better real estate market in 2012!
