On January 22, 2012, postage rates are set to increase.  The increase amounts to pennies, but now is the time to restock your
supply of "Forever" stamps.

Postage Stamp Increase - January 22, 2012

Effective Sunday, January 22, 2012 mailing a first class envelope will cost you an extra penny going from .44 to .45.      Here is the a chart from the United States Postal Service showing the rate changes.

It will be necessary to have a few one cent stamps on hand for mailings.     Post cards and mailings to Canada and Mexico increased a bit more.

Laura - Everything is becoming more expensive. Postal service needs to increase the the postage stamp to reduce the deficit. Thanks for the info.

Postal rate increases are inevitable these days. Less and less people actually use the post office all the time. Emailing is more effective for most folks.
