Pillow Storage Idea

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker

Have you all had problems finding good storage solutions for your pillows? Well, I discovered something that works pretty well. I bought those zip-up garment bags that hang on a rod. You can stack about 12 pillows in them and the pillows fit the size perfectly. If you get clear ones then you can organize them by color. This way they are protected from mildew, dust, critters, whatever and you can keep them really organized. I just hung a rod in my garage and can hang several of the bags on it.

Here is a picture. One note, if you have a lot of these they can get pretty heavy so make sure your rod has good support.

Kelly, great idea and thanks for the photos.  I have too many tubs of pillows, taking up too much space and this looks like a great solution.  Now I just have to get a clothes pole up to hang them.  The great storage debacle never ends!

Excellent storage solution Kelly for pillows.  I was toiling with space saver bags but hated the idea of always having to reseal the bag after finding the pillow I needed for a project.  Thanks.

Kelly, so simple and so obvious...just not to me!

Thank you so much for this post and picture. I have a couple of those bags hanging around and of course a bunch of pillows...time to unite them!

Wendy, Ziplock and Space Bag both make XL and XXL heavy duty clear zip up bags.  I can get a cal king comforter into the XXL size.  The same size will hold 4-8 pillows depending upon how "plump" they are.  They are handy, particularly for transport.

I get mine at WalMart.

What a fabulous idea...I can't wait to try it.  I currently keep mine on a shelf, they take up way too much space on the shelf.

Thanks for the tip,

This is a fabulous idea.  Thanks for posting a picture.  I've tried using XL Ziploc bags, but they don't hold many pillows.
