Smithville is having its 17th Annual Festival of Lights celebration just 45 miles south east of Austin. Smithville is the town where the film Hope Floats was filmed. Quaint, historic, peaceful, Smithville has a great Holiday celebration planned for all to enjoy.
There will be a fun run and walk at 9 am. During the day there will be an arts and crafts show and sale, a gingerbread man bake, a business expo, pictures with Santa, Pony rides, Petting Zoo, Bounce house and maze. At 6:30 pm the Lighting of the Gazebo, 7pm the Annual Lighted Downtown Parade, and after the parade a free Main Street Dance.
