On January 26, 2012, after three months in custody, Lego Man has been bailed out. Denise Kowal, Sarasota Artist and Chalk Festival organizer will serve as his guardian with the blessings of Lego Man's finder, Dennis Hindman.
Lego Man's release was not a quiet one. As he made his trip to freedom in the back of a pickup truck, many along Sarasota's US 41 showed up to cheer his release and take pictures of the famous Lego Man.
