All Tangled Up-What Can I do?

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Solano Pacific BRE #01474067

Ok, I am frustrated with all the connectors to keep my batteries and power up to speed for my supra key, telephone, palm, and now GPS in my Subaru.

I am all tangled up!

I picture an octopus sort of techie thingie ma jig, as I only have one place to put one connection at time.  Is there something out there that is one plug for the car when I am in it, but can branch out to all the different items I have and keep them updated and power at its fullest?  Is it possible?

I am constantly pulling one out to plug another in.  Now that I have a GPS I will never be able to use it and if my phone runs low on battery - use both.

I know I should bring them inside and I do.  But then I have them spread out around the house and then have to hunt them down to put in the car.  Kinda like a scavenger hunt.

Anybody know what I can do differently and /or is there something out there?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Is that the Palm cell phone.  I'm considering this Palm phone:

I'm considering converting because of battery life on the phone I currently have.

Fellowes 6-OutletThis is a power strip...you can plug two into our outlet and if need be, connect another into these making up to four of them (the power you are using is so small, it will not overload the strips).  In additioin, you want to get power strip cords.  They allow room to plug in those big boxie plugs without using up the room for two plug ins.  This should solve your problem.

I used to have a mess with all the wires and cables hooked to my laptop computer.  I would show up at the office, spend 10 minutes plugging everything into the computer before I could even turn it on, and then try to find space on my desk to write my notes, etc.  Then I found a docking station, placed it under my desk, and now I only have two wires, the AC cord and a USB cord to plug into my laptop.  Everything else including internet runs through the docking station, and I love it!  Plus I have Bluetooth to sync my Palm, no cables there at all!  I don't know what options there may be for a car, but something should be showing up soon!

Randy,  Thank you!!  Keep your eyes and ears open for something to use in a car.  Everytime I pull a cord up when it is stuck between the seats, I get smacked!  Oh to have one connection to plug everything into and not damage my body when I need to plug something in.

There is a company that makes universal chargers for the home but I can't for the life of me think of the name.  In the future, look for devices that charge with a USB plug.  As a group of consumers, we need to complain to the manfacutures to make them use a charger that is universal.  They can and should.  You can also look into a heavier duty batteries.  Batteries are rated in milliamps.  The higher the milliamp rating the longer your batteries will last.  I bought one for my phone now I can go two days without charging the thing.  Its like anything else, you have to look around to get a good price.  My cell phone and headset use the same charger but that is it.   Lastly, charge everything everynight.  Most batteries are NIMH and they loose charge when they sit.
