I had a few minutes this afternoon while waiting for an appointment. This rarely happens during the day for me. I decided to take advantage of the opportunity and in an effort to maximize my time management I started reading a new book I just picked up this week. There are many books that I enjoy but one of my favorite authors is John C. Maxwell. The book that I picked up is titled, “Failing Forward”.
The first thing I read where the comments by other authors on the back cover. As I read each of them, I became more convinced that this is a book I am going to enjoy reading. The one that really caught my attention is by Auntie Anne’s Hand Rolled Soft Pretzel founder Anne Beiler, “All of us have experienced professional or personal failures in our lives. This book will encourage you to look at your failures as steppingstones rather than stop signs."
This is a great reminder that our failures are just as important as our successes. So next time you fail, think of it as the stepping-stones to get you to the next level. I will be sharing more information about what I learn as I read through the chapters.
Now, are you motivated?
