Monday, March 26th, the television show House Hunters will feature a couple who are looking for their new house in the Fremont-Newark area. With a budget of $450,000, it should be interesting to see what they are looking at, what they select and how successful they are. That price range is smack in the middle of the most active price range for attractive detached homes in Fremont and Newark. That price should get you a nice 3-4 bedroom, 2 bath home in decent condition that is not necessarily an REO or short sale. Of course, houses that meet that description are currently in short supply. Any decent house in that price range that is a “normal” sale will draw multiple offers unless it is hopelessly overpriced.
http://www.hgtv.com/house-hunters/newlyweds-search-for-first-home-near-san-jose/index.html is the website for the television episode. Look in the guide for your t. v. provider to see if you will be able to view it. I will be getting it on Direct T V.
If the episode was shot more than three months ago, it is going to depict a market that is no longer in existence. Still, it should be fun to watch.
