Home staged by recent widower

Telling it like it is ... I have a profound appreciation for real estate agents who have the courtesy of describing a home accurately. It irks me to no end when I read about a "charming home with loads of potential" when the only thing worth saving is the front door.

Yesterday, I came across a listing that *kind of* tells selling agents what to expect. "Home staged by recent widower ... It's a MESS!" Thank you for the heads up, Mr. Agent. Now we won't be surprised to see a pair of dirty socks on the floor. And maybe some dirty dishes in the sink?

I had a similar listing a couple of years ago.... yeah, he still has a mess and he still owns his house.  My sign isn't in the yard anymore.

And there's that toilet again, peeking out from behind the vanity....

Chris - I agree ... it took me a second to figure out what the agent meant, then I laughed. The agent has a warped sense of humor, but I appreciated the heads up.

Tammy - It's hard to sell messy houses!

John - those darn toilets want to be in every photo, don't they?

Roger - ya know ... I didn't know I posted photos of two toilets in the same day until you and John pointed that out. Come to think of it, it was kind of a crappy day.

I listed a short sale in Sacramento in which the weirdest thing happened. When I first walked into the master bedroom, the spread was on the bed rolled up in a ball. When I came back to shoot photos, the spread was off the bed, leaving a pile of dirty underwear in the middle of the bed. I threw a towel over it and shot my photos anyway. People can be pretty peculiar and, well, creepy.
