Emerald Isle NC Public Boating Access Area

Information obtained from the City of Emerald Isle presentation to Emerald Isle NC Real Estate Professionals on March 16, 2012. The Emerald Isle NC boat launching and parking facility was completed in April 2011. The Public Boating Access area is located on Bogue Sound near mile marker 18 on NC 58 on Emerald Isle NC. Now the city has plans to develop the area as a comprehensive soundfront park over time as funds are available. The status of the improvements is that a small covered picnic table is currently under construction and a Veterans Memorial to be erected within the next few months. Other future amenities may include playground, additional picnic facilities and benches, walking trail, and small ballfield.
