The weather is absolutely perfect in Brevard County, Florida right now – clear blue skies, bright sun, nice breeze, and daytime temperatures in the upper 70′s to low 80′s… ahhhh pure perfection. If you are like me, and want to spend every possible moment outside enjoying this glorious springtime weather, then what better way to spend an evening than catching a baseball game at Space Coast Stadium in Viera, FL?! Did you know that the Washington Nationals spend their spring training season right here in beautiful Brevard County? That’s right, you can watch the Washington Nationals play right here on the Space Coast! But, you better hurry up because the last three games are coming up at Space Coast Stadium over the next few days – Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, March 29, 30, and 31!
To wrap up spring training at Space Coast Stadium, the Washington Nationals will be playing the Atlanta Braves at 1:05 pm on Thursday, March 29, the Miami Marlins at 6:05 pm on Friday, March 30, and the St. Louis Cardinals at 1:05 pm on Saturday, March 31. Ticket prices for these spring training games start at $12 per ticket and go up to $22 per ticket. You can order tickets through the Washington Nationals website, here: Washington Nationals Spring Training Tickets There is also a minimal charge for parking at the stadium. You can even plan to eat lunch or dinner while you watch the game, as the concession stand at Space Coast Stadium offers a nice variety of options, including traditional ballpark fare like hot dogs and hamburgers, as well as more “local” fare such as the Blacked Mahi sandwich or Cuban sandwich.
Space Coast Stadium is located at 5800 Stadium Parkway in Viera, Florida, and the stadium seats up to 8,100 fans, with not a bad seat in the house. Just one little note: the stadium seating offers limited shade, so don’t forget your sunscreen for daytime games.
