OK, as many of you know we homeschool our children and I wouldn’t ever consider changing our minds on that. Especially when she does things like this! Today her homework assignment was to write a haiku and this is what she came back with.
Meesha is awesome
But she does not like writing
Do not make her write
Now, I’m sorry, but that is funny! In public school I’m pretty sure she would get in trouble for writing that! But, instead, I’m giving her a GOLD STAR!
Todd - Honesty is a fine and refreshing attribute! I home schooled my boys and I KNOW you're doing the right thing for your kids.

Lol, I like it! When I was in high school I had to write an ode/ballad. I forgot about it until 4 o'clock in the morning. I wrote it in about 45 minutes and actual woke my father up and made him read it.
It was called "A Ballad to Be". My teacher actually laughed.
A ballad to be, It is a quarter to 3 (or something like that at the start). The teacher wouldn't believe I actually wrote it that morning. (I was a good student, btw.)
Meesha is not alone... I do not like writing either, wish my job did not depend on so much of it... LOL
Gold star from me, too! Gotta love creativity. As for public school... it depends on the teacher. Ben's current teacher would love this poem; others not so much.
