Coming home from our Memorial Day weekend we hit a bear....Sorry about the bear...  it was  killed on impact ... totaled the Honda SUV, and not a scratch on us. We are just thankful we survived the accident unscathed.  SO SO Thankful!

For more details about this accident, check out the post,   A Wonderful Weekend that Ended Frightfully!  Truly scary and a warning to all  to be careful while driving at night..... there are many black bears out this year causing many accidents.

Wow. that is incredible. Glad that you are all uninjured.

We used to have big problems with deer and most people have no idea how much damage they can do to a car.

Rebecca,  Sad about the bear ... sad that they need to come down so far looking for food. Thankfully it was killed on impact - no suffering.  Enough about the bear. THANK GOD you are all OK ... totaled the car and you are all without a scratch.  Amen!

Rebecca...

How fightening. The black bear population is at an all time high so the chances of an encounter are always going up. Glad that everyone was OK!

Rebecca, I just read your other post and it reminded me of when I would ride my motorcycle up in Wisconsin many times at night...I stopped doing that after seeing all the eyes from the side of the road...kind of scary.

Sorry about that!  A friend of ours once hit a mountain lion in Colorado.  He dutifully called the wildlife folks to inquire that since it was now dead could he collect the carcass and have it mounted or something.....  They told him NO.  It was out of season AND he didn't have a permit....  Ahhhhh... you gotta love the thinking of bureaucrats.
