Toronto Harbourfront – Queens Quay Revitalization …..
The long-awaited transformation of Queens Quay is about to begin. This has been in the works for a few years. First came the Planning, then the Design, then the Public Consultation and now the construction will start in 2012.
Waterfront Toronto is co-coordinating this big project. The aim is to streamline the construction work and also to keep all the businesses and attractions accessible to residents and visitors during the construction period. As with all big road construction projects it will entail, traffic disruptions, (also disruptions to the TTC Streetcar services), noise and dust …….
The end result will be a ‘new’ Queens Quay, an upgraded, world-class waterfront street.
