Real estate is one of those professions that can be really fun or your worst nightmare. A large part of that is the people you choose to work with. You do choose your clients, don't you? We either select those people we work with or they select us. If we show property to anyone who will get into our car, do you think you might find a lot who are not ready to buy, some who are ready to buy and have no money or want to buy a 5000 square foot home on the water for $100,000.
Perhaps we should pick our clients as carefully as we pick our friends. If you do your job right, those people will be in your life a long time and hopefully will refer other clients to you. If they are real turkeys, do you think some of the people they refer to you might be turkeys too?? Life is too short to spend it trying to sell something to someone who either does not trust you or is just looking for a guided tour of the area. Work smart and work with good people and it is a fun business. And it is a business, not a job, Right??
