We staged this occupied home last week in the Shoreline area of North Seattle. The agent had seen a home we had staged nearby which sold at the first open house and wanted us to assit him in getting this listing "show ready".
The upstairs had a great sectional, but there was very little color or "wow" in this room prior to staging.
After staging: We brought in color with artwork, toss pillows, and a throw on the ottoman. We also moved the sectional so it was centered under the window and away from the wall to create more balance in the room.
Before staging the ottoman was being used as an end table to hold the telephone.
After staging: The large ottoman now acts as a coffee table/ottoman and the large t.v. is balanced by a black sofa table and additional lighting seen on the left in the photo below.
Dining room before staging: The homeowner had a black pub table in the basement that went with the two chairs at the bar. We brought up the table and two additional chairs from the basement to stage this dining room.
Dining Room after staging:
The post title said it all: "all white upstairs, all wood downstairs". Here is the "wood" - and stone downstairs, with a stuffed fish thrown in for good measure!
Basement after staging: Additional lighting was needed in this space. We created a casual and comfortable conversation area by bringing in a loveseat, leather ottoman and accessories. A true "man cave!"
Prior to staging this mirror next to the sliding glass door causes confusion.
After staging: The mirror is accented by a cool piece of the homeowner's metal artwork. A wood table with accessories from our inventory complete the vingette. We moved additional lighting into this space by using a lamp that was previously in the living room.
