A snack in pictures

Fruit in the morning; vegetables in the afternoon -  I know, I learned the right  way.

But opportunity presents itself, in the afternoon.

Strawberries – red, juicy, huge. And they smell like strawberries. Small window of opportunity.

I eat several whole. After all, I have two fresh pounds to myself.

As I slow a little.  strawberries hit the bowl in pieces. Whole blueberries for added texture (almost a crunch, or at least a different ripple on my teeth).

While I’m at it, a ripe banana is within reach. Now in slices, and into the mix.

Yogurt dollops – Greek honey flavor - seem appropriate. Strident white to contrast with the colors of the fruit. Necessary artistry.

Of course, some crushed nuts for interest. Avoid the chocolate bits; that might be over-kill.

A spoon, and my easy chair…

Catch me later, it has been a long week.

I love your post. I can almost see and smell your snack. Now, it I could just taste it, that would be great. You have the right idea and I hope you enjoyed your fruit and your easy chair.  Have a good day.

Allen - totally enjoyable, and somewhat filling.

Debbie - I might even go for a repercharge today, or a variation on a theme.

Roger - so easy to end a week without a break or a reward. I am now old enough to be susceptible to both. Utah state food is green jello, so I shall seek to integrate some of that as summer progresses.

I love fruit. I have been eating more blue berries of late since it is suppose to help with memory. Even if this is not true it is a good excuse to eat them.

Wayne - mey you live and healthy life from eating right.

Sussie - even when you can't remember what they are good for, they will still be doing you good. I had a liking for blackberries in Oz, even if they were declared a noxious weed. Birds loved them too.
