The Town and Country subdivision was developed in the late 60's and early 70s at the edge of the Town of Bedford County of Bedford line. It consists of mostly of three bedroom ranch homes with basements. It's a nice middle class neighborhood where people care about their homes and their neighbors.
The Town and Country Neighborhood of Bedford VA borders Rt 460, Governors Hill neighborhood and some large vacant tracts of land. Town and Country is about 6 blocks long and 3 blocks wide. The new Harmony Development is being developed just to the west of Town and Country and it promises to bring in a shopping and a business center. So there is a good chance the Harmony Development will increase home values in Town and Country. Carriage Hill Retirement Community is the backside border of the neighborhood. Carriage Hill provides several levels of service to their patients, they specialize in independent and assisted living.
Town and Country get electrical service from the Town of Bedford along with water and sewer service.
