Columbus Ohio Friday News Update Real Estate, Business, and Otherwise Noteworthy

Neighborhood Luanch (Edwards): is going to be building a new five story condo building at the corner of Sixth Street and Gay street in the near future.  A majority of those will be one bedroom since those have been selling the best in their current units.  In my opinion these are some really impressive units in a growing area of downtown.  Worth the investment!

It has a 92 on the walk-score for you urbanites out there! call to set up a showing

Get some $$$$ for your troubles:

This last week has been horrendously hot, and for a lot of Ohioans even worse because there is no power!  Well here is some good news, according to this article on 10TVS website, you are probably eligible for some credit if you have been without cable service during this downtime.  Take the money and go rebuy all your food that just spoiled!  Or go to Racino.

What does a boyscout say??:

After these storms, I'm sure more than a few people are trying to figure out how they can be more prepared for the next storm.  Here is a great article from Houselogic.com that describes how to make a preparation kit.  Or I'm pretty sure you can just go buy one from Costco...your call.

Urban 3:16 Ohio State BuckeyesUrban does it again:

Urban Meyer recruited a huge 315 four star lineman from South Carolina named Michael Hill.  Another recruit that SEC schools were after.  Maybe we can finally catch up to their talent level....maybe.  Either way, it's hard not to appreciate what Urban is doing after all the trouble Ohio State was in a year ago at this time.  The 2013 class already has 14 recruits and is ranked fourth to eight on most major recruiting sites.

Dooh Dah:

For those of you that missed the Doo Dah parade this year on July 4th, here

COTA

Oh, and for those of you that were worried....The COTA strike ended yesterday.   I just heard the collective sigh of relief throughout Columbus.
