The precious commodity called:TIME

The saying time flies when you are having fun is so trueWhen you are younger you can't wait for summertime, Christmas, to be able to drive, graduate. Time seems to go so slow then. When you get older though it seems to FLY by with the speed of light.  We each have 24 hrs in a day and time moves at the same pace young or old. It is all a matter of perception. How will you spend your 24 hrs today?

Here are six terrific truths about time:

First:

Nobody can manage time. But you can manage those things that take up your time.

Second:

Time is expensive. As a matter of fact, 80 percent of our day is spent on those things or those people that only bring us two percent of our results.

Third:

Time is perishable. It cannot be saved for later use.

Fourth:

Time is measurable. Everybody has the same amount of time...pauper or king. It is not how much time you have; it is how much you use.

Fifth:

Time is irreplaceable. We never make back time once it is gone.

Sixth: Time is a priority. You have enough time for anything in the world, so long as it ranks high enough among your priorities

Here is a song that describes time flying by very accurately

The speed of time moving along slow when young, fast when older seems a mystery. I say it is a denominator issue. If your total number of years is in the denominator, one over that number means less and less as we age. It flies when active, can move slow when bored. So live a boring life, stretch out time ha ha. All great points and video Sharon....

Sharon,

I just saw a really fun movie "In Time", the premise being that when you turn 25 a clock on your arm starts and you only have 1 year left to live.  Time is the currency in this film.  Really gives you something to think about.

Your point of not managing time is spot on; we can only try to manage ourselves, and how we use the time.
