Oklahoma Sales Tax Holiday Announced for August 3-5, 2012 oklahoma sales tax holiday

Oklahoma's tax-free weekend begins tomorrow August 3rd and runs through Sunday August 5th. Designed to help families purchase back-to-school clothes and shoes, this is the sixth year Oklahoma has participated in this endeavor.

Certain clothing and shoe purchases are exempt from sales tax for this time period only. This includes state, city, county and local municipality sales taxes.

Tulsa's sales tax rate is 8.5 percent, so that's savings that can add up. Check out the web site below for a detailed list of items that qualify for the tax exemption.
