I have a few friends who are vegetarians or vegans. They refuse to eat meat of any kind. I applaud them and I would like to thank them for one thing: it leaves more burgers at The Burger Place available for me.
The Burger Place is located in Historic Downtown Melbourne, FL. It is kind of an unassuming place on a side street. I discovered it one day riding on Rt. 192 on my way to the beachside. My boy saw a sign that said best burger in town this way! I laughed and we decided to try it for lunch.
When you walk in the place you will feel like you just headed into the late 1950s or early 1960s. You walk up to the counter and order. It really does not matter what else is on the menu...order a burger, fries and a shake (yes...I realize this is a huge number of calories). The burgers are some of the best in Central Florida...the bun is heavenly! The thin cut fries are the perfect side...and the shakes are out of this world hand crafted while you wait! Kids meals come in the nifty paper cars you see in the picture below (my boy liked it so much he saved it and it is displayed in his bedroom!).
