Chicago Shootings: At Least 19 Wounded By Gun Violence Thursday, 13 Over 30 Minutes

CHICAGO -- Police say 13 people were shot and wounded in a 30-minute spate of violence in Chicago, including eight gunned down on a single street.

Authorities have been battling an increase in homicides in the city where some aldermen complain gangs have no fear of the police.

Now the headline says gun violence.  But you have to read the article to see the real problem, gangs.  But no information about them, no discussion about them, no pointing fingers.  Why not, is it because the truth will not fit the liberal message?  Can't say anything about blacks and hispanics shooting eacy other and innocent victims getting hurt in the middle?

Why isn't the press filling the airways with 24-7 coverage?

How many examples of liberal bias do you did to admit it.

I am with Wallace on this one. I have always put to death a shop lifter and you save a life, cause the shop lifter will eventually use a gun and kill someone.

This is a common refrain from the right...arm everyone. But, could you imagine what would've happened in NYC the other day if all those people walking down 5th Ave had a gun?

Please tell me?  Assumptions are not facts.  Still waiting on the big event where the public gets into a shootout with a bad guy.  Just like the left to cry wolf.

And you're assuming all would be fine if we armed everyone...where's the logic?

Karl, my comments are somewhat tongue in cheek.  But with that said, the idea that taking away guns from those that are responsible only to have guns in the hands of criminals, makes no sense.  The debate is rather pointless unless you want to change the constitution.  We have already done enough damage there.

Hey...I don't want to take away guns, just have reasonable laws for anyone to own them...

I was thinking about the NRA's claim that we should arm everyone and just imagining what that would look like in NYC on 5th Ave....everyone blasting away at each other...with more bystanders getting hit by panicked-gun-wielding city folk...real carnage.

Karl, once again we hit common ground.  It is the politicians that push to the extreme.  You probably are not going to see reasonable laws being enacted because they will also contain something so far left or right that it won't pass.  That way, nothing gets done, poltiicians can say they tried, and special interests stay in power.
