Dear Precious Friends,
This may be a hard letter to read, but please read to the end and honestly evaluate what I am saying because this letter was harder for me to write than it will be to read..
I pray this letter finds you all well and prospering as your souls are prospering... I find myself in a very difficult position today.
I have to write a letter that may offend or anger some of you. Let me assure you, that is NOT my intention. I deeply respect everyone on activerain, and I pray that you are NOT one of the ones who need to read this..
In evaluating my presence here on A/R, there are many reasons, at the top of the list however, may be the letter I am writing right now.
Ok, enough of my delaying the inevitable... Here is the topic..
I have had a burden from the Lord to write this letter for months. I have talked to Mike Frazier about it, and he has given me the green light to share some hard truth here... Please don't flame Mike, I take FULL credit for what I am writing here.
As Christians, we are challenged to do things God's way, and not our own.. Our life in Christ is based on what He did in hanging on the cross for each and everyone of us.. Our salvation is completely based on the work that Jesus did when He hung on the cross, died, and rose, so the burning question I have to ask here is WHAT IS OUR PART?
Jesus said: "If any man will be my disciple, he must first deny himself, pick up his cross, and follow me". We as "Christians" are called to do just that..
The Bible tells us: "Submit yourself to God, resist the devil, and he must flee." We are called FIRST to SUBMIT to God, everything else in our lives as "Christians" flows out of obedience to Him..
The Bible tells us: "We are to be separated from sin and unrighteousness"
Ok, I am going to get to the point here... Let me state my position clearly, this is NOT a political agenda, it is a GOD agenda!!
I am NOT telling anyone WHO to vote for, I am saying that if you call yourself a Christian, you should not vote for people who OPPOSE God!
This nation is coming into a place where we are prime to be judged by God for our un-godly actions..
Why would anyone who calls themself a "follower" of Jesus side with someone who:
- Kills innocent babies
- Has made it clear that their agenda is toward the homosexual movement,
even when God said this lifestyle leads to death and destruction. - Has clearly sided AGAINST the nation of Israel, knowing that Israel
is the "Apple of God's eye". - Would not allow Godly expression at a convention, but would have muslim prayer.
Ok, let me go over the above one point at a time..
1: I know many reading this letter right now may have at one time in their life had an abortion. I am not attacking you, you need to know that there is forgiveness in Christ, and that God loves you dearly. NO sin is un-forgivable. Just ask Him to forgive you, and move on with your life in Christ.. What I am attacking is the fact that the current administration made it clear before the last election what their stand on abortion was yet many people who CALL themselves Christians still went ahead and "winked" at the terrible truth and went ahead and voted for un-godliness rather than siding with Christ (LIFE)!
2: I know that many reading this letter now may have been (or currently are) involved in a homosexual lifestyle. I am not attacking you, I am saying that this is not the way that leads to life.. I am saying that the Bible commands against this. I am saying that God loves you, and He sent His son to die on the cross so you could be free of sin and live! I am saying that God hates sin, but LOVES the sinner. I am saying that the sin of homosexuality is no worse than telling a lie, but SIN is SIN, and it takes people to HELL. Why would anyone who CALLS themself a Christian vote for an administration that would propagate and endorse this lifestyle while punishing those who stand for the truth?
3 and 4: There is NO denying the stand of the current administration in these areas. Are you for God, or for the devil my friends?
Back to points 1 and 2 for a second... If everyone in the world today sided for abortion, and homosexual values, mankind would be extinct within 90 years or less... Is that enough in itself to know how God stands on these issues?
In summary, what I am saying (as gently as I know how) we can't just call ourselves Christians if we live like heathen.
Salvation is a FREE gift of God for everyone who chooses. The 70 or so years we live on this earth do not compare to all of eternity. We are all going to leave this earth, and we are going to one of 2 places.. Which will you choose my dear friends.
The bible says "Boast not thyself of tomorrow for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth" No one is promised tomorrow.
The bible says "It is appointed for man once to die, and then the judgement" Everyone will eventually die, and the second we leave this world, we will be standing in the presence of a HOLY God who loves us, but will not judge us on what we say in that hour, but what we choose in this life.
If in the last election, you KNEW what the administration stood for yet voted that way anyway, you need to ask God to forgive you for voting against God and siding with the devil. It doesn't matter what your reason was, just ask God to forgive you, and move on with your life, but DON'T make the same decision again!
In closing, let me make 3 statements:
Jesus loves you, and wants control of your life.
We are NOT to side for what LOOKS good to our flesh, but MORAL and Godly stances.
I am NOT judging anyone, because I don't have the right to judge any man, I am trying to share God's perspective on this.

I welcome your comments, but will not fight with anyone over these issues... If you have a problem with what has been said here, I would suggest you take some time and read your bible. If you don't have one, or don't believe that the bible is 100% true, you have no basis to rightly divide the issues spoken above.
