The Balboa Beach Music Fest in Newport Beach is a benefit for the foundation to launch the final phase of fundraising for the renovation of the Balboa Theater. Their goal is to create a cultural center in Balboa Village near the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum, Balbo Fun Zone and the Balboa Auto Ferry off Palm Street.
Newport Beach CA homes on historic Balboa Peninsula will be surrounded by great music and an additional 5,000 visitors. Balboa Peninsula Point is the area on the furthest tip of the Balboa Peninsula starting at "G" Street. The point features an eclectic mix of home styles from all over the world with over 800 Newport Beach CA custom homes of which 270 of these are actually on the waterfront.
Balboa Village began in the early 1900's with the building of the Balboa Pavillion, a historic landmark built in 1906 by the Newport Bay Investment Company. The Pavillion played a prominent role in the development of Newport Beach as a seaside recreation area. Later in 1906, it became the southern end of the line station for the Pacific Electric Railway connecting the beach with downtown Los Angeles.
The historic Balboa Theater was originally a theatrical facility called the Ritz Theater, built in 1928. It was a state-of-the-arts facility for vaudeville and small theater productions. In 1939, the Ritz was renamed the Balboa Theater and its emphasis turned to film.
Support the Balboa Performing Arts Theater Foundation by joining in on the fun, walk the Balboa Peninsula boardwalk and look at the Newport Beach, CA waterfront homes and feast on vendor's food and spirits.
