The good folks at the Ferguson Library in Stamford CT have put together a wonderful offering of informative sessions for those in the job hunt or those considering a new career.        Looking for a job in Stamford CT

Free and open to the public are five sessions, beginning with Resume Writing and culminating in mock interviews.  The big payoff comes on Thursday, October 2th form 4-8pm with a Career Fair in the Third Floor auditorium, where recruiters and consultants discuss the skills needed in today's job market. 

During this Career Fair, come dressed for success and bring plenty of copies of your resume and identification for potential employers. Networking will be from 7-8pm and refreshment will be served.  Interested?  Well here's a description of the sessions leading up to the Career Fair.

Wednesday, October 3rd from 6-7:30pm - Resume Writing - On-line registration is required Learn how to create more effective resumes that will get noticed by the HR manager. Taught by Melanie Szlucha, career Coach.

Thursday, October 4 (from 11am - 5pm) and Friday, October 5 (11am - 4pm) -Drop in the Main Library Third Floor Study Room and consult with an executive recruiter to make your resume shine!

Wednesday, October 10 from 6-7:30pm - Learn about social media and personal branding.  Erik Karff of the Allegis Group, will teach you to utilize social media and build your online presence to market your skills.

Thursday, October 11 (11am - 5pm)  (registration required) and Friday, October 12 (11am-4pm - Drop-in) The first impression is the cover letter.  Register and attend this session to learn how to write a flawless cover letter form the professionals!

Wednesday, October 24 from 6-8pm - Mock Interview Workshop - In this session you can observe successful interview techniques, practice and get feedback from career coaches Melanie Szulcha and Neema Bollampally, former human resource manager from Bank of America.
