Orlando Sentinel endorses Mitt Romney!!

Florida IS Romney Country

Orlando Sentinel endorses Mitt Romney!!

Next up- pigs flyin', cows comin' home and a certain hot place freezin' over.  The Orlando Sentinel came out with their endorsement today- and the usually Left-leaning newspaper has chosen Mitt Romney as the best man to serve as President of the United States.

Orlando Sentinel endorses Mitt Romney!!

Never thought I'd use this phrase, but "in the great words of the Sentinel editorial staff...":

"We have little confidence that Obama would be more successful managing the economy and the budget in the next four years. For that reason, though we endorsed him in 2008, we are recommending Romney in this race."

Nice, too, to see them speak of our current president and say that they "don't think that he's the best qualified candidate in this race"Time for real change, Washington- and nice to see the Sentinel's in favor of it as well.

Heads up!  I think the sky's fallin'.......

What's the world coming to when you can't even trust your local newspapers to be as biased as they were in the "good ol'days"....

Hi, Travis:  Thank you for stopping in, and for your comment.  The Sentinel is clearly stepping outside of their comfort zone this election cycle- with the Romney pick clearly being their biggest step toward fairness and reason as of yet.  It's not their only reasoned choice this cycle, though.  They've also chosen:

- Republican incumbent Dan Webster in the newly-created FL-10 district.  This choice is huge not solely for who they've chosen to support- but for who they've picked against:  a very popular (and very liberal) former Orlando Police Chief Val Demings who's running in her first race.  They said it all when they labeled Demings' views "fiscally irresponsible" in that "since the Medicare trust fund won't be busted until 2024, there's no need to change the program now".  Indeed.

- Not to make a pick in the nasty race for FL-9.  The easy choice for them would've been to go with liberal wacko Alan Grayson in the contest against Republican Todd Long, but they chose prudence over either candidate.  In their words, "Neither candidate gives voters in District 9 any reason to expect the steady leadership and statesmanship that they deserve and Congress needs".

I guess it just goes to show that at times, the best choice may very well be no choice at all.

I was surprised to see this endorsement.  Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for Obama.  No offense to the President, but the guy is completely incompetent when it comes to being an executive and a leader.  Just goes to show that what a person has on their past resume' is an actual indication of what their future accomplishments are going to look like.  Obama would be better off simply being an attorney for the ACLU.

Hi, Rob:  Thank you for stopping by, and for your comment.  All of your points are spot-on as usual, too.  one of the crazier things about the whole campaign and everything is that our current president promised tons of things to tons of folks- and delivered on none of those things, yet a considerable amount of his fan base supporters simply don't care enough about how he stiffed 'em to boot him out.  Homosexuals- has he followed through on all he promised you?  Of course not.  Illegal aliens- how's that Dream Act doing?  Oops...
