Schaumburg plans off-leash dog park
The Schaumburg Park District plans to build an off-leash dog park at Copley Park, 120 E. State Parkway, Schaumburg. An informational meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Nov. 27th, 2012 in the Community Recreation Center Senior Room, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.
The plan for the dog park includes a parking lot, two separate areas for dogs, pathways, benches, a shelter, water access and drinking fountains. Construction is scheduled for summer 2013 with completion by late summer or early fall.

Lyn, Willie the Labradoodle loved this post. He's guilt tripping me right now for not taking him to our local off leash dog park, except that it is populated by pit bulls and mastiffs. Yikes! Inner city off leash parks sort of don't work.

Lyn, my yellow lab of 11-years died yesterday. So sad. She loved running after the ball and especially loved running with other dogs. Dog parks are such a good thing.
