Thursday, December 13 - 7:00pm - Main Library Lower Level Program Room is the Kid's Book Discussion on "Born to Fly" by Michael Ferrari. Synopsis: Bird McGill longs to be a pilot. When a Japanese-American boy joins her class, everyone suspects him of being a spy, but it is up to Bird and Kenji to discover the real spy. Grades 3 and up. Friday, December 14 at 2:00pm - The movie "Brave" - After Princess Merida mistakenly unleashes a horrible curse, she must rely on her bravery and archery skills to set her kingdom free. Rated PG 100 minutes. Ages 6 and up.
Saturday, December 15 - noon to 2:30pm - South End Library - 16th Annual Kwanzaa Festival at the South End Branch - Come celebrate Kwanzaa with an introduction to the seven principles of Kwanzaa, crafts, African drumming & and dance and more......
Thursday, December 27 at 2;00pm - Comic Mime Show - Main Library Third Floor Auditorium - Smile, giggle and laugh out loud with mime Robert Rivest at this hilarious show. Ages 5 and up.
Friday, December 28 at 2 and 4:00pm - Harry Bennett Branch - Books and Bricks Lego Workshop - Build a "krazy kool" creation for children ages 5 through 10. Space is limited and so you should call 203-351-8294 to register.
Saturday, december 29 at 2:00pm - Main Library - come check out the movie "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" - The Dog Days - When Greg Heffley's dad threatens to send him to military school if he doesn't stay out of trouble. Greg finds new ways to land in the dog house. Rated PG 94 minutes. Ages 6 and up.
