Mardi Gras is a fun time of year in our area. With tons of parades and events in Galveston, it is easy to miss some of the other places that are celebrating Mardi Gras! One of those places is the Kemah Boardwalk! With excellent food and live bands playing Jazz, Blues and Zydeco music, it’s a great place to enjoy the weekend. On Friday, February 8th there will be a live band called the Tommy Dardar Band from 6-10pm. On Saturday LT & the Zydeco Mob will play from 1-5pm, Step Rideau will play from 6-10pm and the Yachty Gras Boat Parade is scheduled for 7pm! This fun parade features decorated boats and tons of beads to catch!
This year they continue the celebration into Sunday with live music by Lil Brian & the Zydeco Travelers from 12-4 and the Zydeco Dots from 5-9pm.
