ActiveRain and WebsiteBox Contest: I Wish My Website Did This.......

Reblogger Susan Harris
Real Estate Broker/Owner with SusanHarrisGroup Powered by EXPRealty.com

What a great concept for a Realtor website! (Even the price is good - very fair at $99/yr) And, a great concept for a contest. So, hop on board, fellow Realtors - this is an opportunity for wide-ranging community brainstorming. And, who better to brainstorm than us Realtors who will be the beneficiaries of all our good ideas - if we can urge Websitebox to adopt (most of) them. But the deadline is TONIGHT, Feb 25, 2013, 11:59pm PST. So get on board. The more of us Realtors, the merrier. And, the "mo bettah" the ideas.

I wish my Website could do these 3 things (at least & can I add more?)

1) Notify me immediately on my smartphone of an incoming inquiry with contact info for responding - in various formats: text/phone/email/etc. And,

2) Provide to the inquiring contact a (reassuring)&  immediate acknowledging greeting and reassurance that they will receive my response in reasonable time frame; and

3) Have Website set up to provide intelligent responses with differentiation between topical areas as indicated in the inquiries.

4) Have the Websitebox' CRM which is receiving all the contact data be able to reformat it so that it can be integrated into our own current (and longterm) CRM. Mine is ACT! V2013

5) Have as much opportunity for automation and user friendly, easy to learn operation as possible.

6) Also, have various avenues of tech support available and located in the USA  = Jobs for America!

3 Things You Wish Your Website Could Do

Websitebox.com Logo

A new company recently launched at the Inman News Real Estate Connect Event in January. WebsiteBox is a simple solution for creating a website that gives you a complete web solution for a one-time payment of $99.

We talk a lot on ActiveRain about having an effective web solution for your business. A real estate agent needs a customized web solution which includes IDX, the process by which listings are fed to your website from your local MLS.

An effective IDX can be the difference between the success and failure of your online marketing efforts. Any agent who has been successful generating leads and business online will no doubt tell you that their IDX product was the central focus of their online marketing efforts.

One of the best parts of the new WebsiteBox offering (other than the fact that it's a one time payment of $99) is how they have taken the Apple model of 'apps' and applied it to a real estate website. Their vision is that if you want something for your website, you pay for it when you want it. You don't pay a recurring fee, for a huge application that has tons of add ons that you will never use. You get a site that has all the essentials including integrated MLS Search (IDX) and powerful CRM database, and if you want extra bells and whistles, you can pick and choose what those are.

Tell Us What You'd Like Your Website to Do

So for our contest, we'd like to ask you, what things besides an integrated MLS/IDX search and powerful CRM would you like to have included on your website?

The team at WebsiteBox is building an IDX solution that fits the needs of real estate agents. They want to know what your needs are. Besides IDX and CRM, what would you want in the website of your dreams? Content written by professional copywriters? A responsive website that is mobile and tablet friendly? Designs created by professional graphic designers? The ability for people to register using their Facebook account?

Back when we were running our own brokerage, we'd come up with ideas every week that we wanted implemented into our IDX (our developers hated us, haha). We couldn't build in every idea, but the team at WebsiteBox is aiming to do just that. Give real estate agents the tools on their IDX that will help them generate more leads, convert more leads and close more transactions. That's the purpose of a great IDX. Those three things.

So tell us, what do you wish your website did? What would be that one killer tool that you wish your website offered?

The Challenge:

*Write a blog post that details 3 features or tools that you wish were included as a part of your website

*Include a link to this post, announcing the challenge, somewhere in the body of your post. (so other people reading your posts have a chance to participate)

*Once you have completed your post, leave a link to your post in the comment section of this post.

*We would love if you would consider following WebsiteBox on Facebook and on Twitter. They are very active on both social networks. In addition, if you do follow them on Twitter, and you send them a link to your post on Twitter (make sure to use @WebsiteBox) we will give you an extra 500 points.

*Posts must be submitted by Monday, February 25th at 11:59pm Pacific Time

The Prizes:

*Each submission will receive 1500 ActiveRain points. Points will be awarded in the week following the conclusion of the contest.

*Five winners will be picked at random to receive a FREE WebsiteBox account.

*Website Box may turn your idea into an app that is offered to all WebsiteBox users!

You've got a lot of great ideas!  It'll be interesting to see if the folks running the contest pass these along to someone building sites for actual implementation.

Ooooh Susan, you make me want to add more to my list! LOL! It sounds like we both need automation. That seems like a common theme, and something that site developers need to try to figure out for us! :)
