Wentworth Home Rollinsford New Hampshire

Nestled back in it's original home town of Rollinsford New Hampshire lies a small piece of New Hampshire history.  Originally built in 1701, in a quaint Seacoast New Hampshire town, the Col. Paul Wentworth Home was the residence of of Col. Paul Wentworth and his wife Abra Brown, until his death in 1748.

In 1936 the home was moved from it's original location and moved by it's then current owners, Mae, and Frederick Blodgett, to Dover Massachusetts until their deaths in 1980 and 1999.

The home was moved back to it's original site in 2002, after a generous donation by the current land, and building owner in Dover Massachusetts, Kenneth Rendell.    A historic specialist and his crew, carefully started the dismantling process in 2002, returning it to Rollinsford piece by piece.

After several long, hard months and years of painstaking rehabilitation, fund-raising, and volunteering.  The Col. Paul Wentworth home reopened to the general public, assisted by the Association for Rollinsford Culture and History (A.R.C.H.) with a grand reopening on Sunday, October 2nd, 2005.
