The Discover the Dinosaurs exhibit is coming to Amarillo, TX at the Tri-State Fairgrounds in the Rex Baxter building. The exhibit will be here for three days allowing families to walk through the museum and explore, learn and have fun. There will be an interactive show about pre-historic days when dinosaurs roamed the earth. It’s the perfect opportunity for kids to get a hands-on approach while learning. The exhibit will be in Amarillo from Friday, March 31 to Sunday, April 2.
The T-Rex is one of the most popular attractions of the exhibit. There are around 8 to 10 scenes that represent the period of dinosaurs from a time when they lived. You can actually engage with motion, sight and sound. The sound effects are extremely realistic. You’ll be brought back in time with the landscapes that once donned the earth. There are some dinosaurs that will not move so they are strategically positioned throughout the exhibit where you can still touch them.

Dino Den – Over ten colorful dinosaurs specially designed for young children to touch, hug and sit on.
Dino Dig – Experience be a Jr. Paleontologist in a fun way by revealing dinosaur fossils beneath sand.
Dino Theater – Enjoy educational and entertaining moves on a giant, dinosaur sized theater screen.
Inflatables – Play, slide, jump and have tons of fun on one of the many dinosaur themed inflatables.
Gem and Fossil Panning – Buy bags of mining rough, bring it to the sluice, shake it out and pan for the hidden gems and fossils. You can also explore the mine with hardhat, headlamps and equipment that can help you find gems, rocks, and fossils that are hidden in a dark mineshaft.
Mini Golf – Play mini golf while learning facts about dinosaurs at each hole.
Dinosaur Rides - Take a ride that you will never forget on the back of a T-Rex or Triceratops. Just climb on the animatronic saddle and expect to have the time of your life. It’s even a great photo opportunity.
Dino Face Painting – Kids, get your face painted by professionals that create simple dinosaur designs or full face paintings. They are fun and sure to leave a smile and a lasting memory.
