Celebrate Father's Day 2013 at the Manassas Wine & Jazz Festival
Ever feel like Mother's Day gets all the glory? Well, maybe you haven't attended the Manassas Wine & Jazz Festival, held on Father's Day before. The 2013 Manassas Wine & Jazz Festival will be held on June 16th...for those that have no idea when Father's Day falls on the calendar. It will be held on the lawn of the Manassas Museum, located at 9101 Prince William Street in Old Town Manassas.
Enjoy a mellow and slow paced afternoon as you taste wines from Virginia wineries and enjoy music from jazz artists Marcus Johnson, Kitty and the Fat Cats and Barbar Martin. The wine tasting kicks off at 11am, but live music doesn't start until 12pm.
Of course, if you want to make an entire weekend of it, don't miss the Battle of the Artists. That happens the evenings of June 15th and June 16th on Battle Street. Art supplies are provided, there are no entry fees and the People's Favorite wins $200. There will also be an opportunity for participating Battle Artists to exhibit and sell their artwoork at the festival on June 16th.
Honestly, between the street artists, local wine and jazz music, what more you could ask for?
