WHAT DOES THE TEXAS WEATHER

AND SELLING HOMES HAVE IN COMMON?

The word is sizzling! Rockwall, Texas has been blessed with an unusually cool spring and early summer! We just broke the 100 degree mark and it is HOT!!!

I am enjoying a sizzling market selling homes in Rockwall, Texas. There is only one way to describe the real estate market, HOT, and just as we prepare for the hot weather we must be prepared for this hot market.

Both Realtors and those looking to buy a home in Rockwall, Texas will need to put their track shoes on to keep up with this fast paced real estate market.

Dress in light colored clothes, wear sun screen, take plenty of water along and take a break at times to rest a bit and chill out.

NUMBER ONE thing to do is get a PREAPPROVAL to find out exactly how much loan for which you qualify. Sellers will require this before accepting your offer.

I always congratulate my buyers and ask them just how much of a loan they want? I tell them to consider their living expenses, dining out, entertainment and perhaps buying a new car or a boat.

You should make a personal budget that will allow you have the money to live a comfortable life and it may be that you do not want to buy at the highest loan for which you are PREAPPOVED.

Hi Barbara,

You can say that again. I try and set inspection times for Nine or Ten A.M. It's been well over 100 for weeks and it gets way to hot in the attic for being in there any length of time. Better early at 110 than later in the day at 160-170 degrees.

Barbara - Weather has a huge impact on the business of selling real estate. If it is raining in my area both sellers and buyers cancel appointments--we are spoiled by lots of sunshine and moderate temperatures. Glad your market is sizzling but hope the weather cools a bit--100 degress is hot!
