Don't Waste Time

We used to know an old marine carpenter. He would  carfully watch the young guys running back and forth like the proverbial chicken with the head cut off while on the job . He was very maticulate and careful and lots of people would say how does he get anything done? Well the young guys would be running back and forth to the saw all day long. Not him. He just made a few trips an hour maximum... yet at the end of each day he had twice as much woodwork completed as the rest of the crew.  He called it "Time -motion"  Well it wasn't complex what he did...just common sense and no waste of time.
