The LaCamas Heritage Trail located in Camas, WA (NW Lake Road at SR-500) is a delightful respite from your busy day. The park facilities are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. There is a 3.5 mile gravel path that leads you on a fairly flat course through plenty of views of lake, wildlife, waterfalls and natural plant life. There are even a couple of geocaches located along the path. The southern trailhead of Lacamas Lake has plenty of parking, picnic tables, a play area and waterfront access. In the summer months there is usually an opportunity to rent water craft such as canoes, kayaks, etc. Seeing the LaCamas Lake from a boat is much more fun than shore side!
All of the residents have options to use the lake ammenities and the walking paths. The paths are wide and clean and draped with beautiful flora and fauna. It travels alongside the wide expanse of the LaCamas Lake. If you love waterfowl, etc. you will certainly be pleased with the opportunity to observe them.
