Periodically I catch a glimpse of fall. Here along the southern shore of Lake Erie it still a little early for fall, but lately I have been seeing a little glimpse of fall here and there. With the cool nights in the forecast for next few days I am sure I will see more fall scenes.

Yesterday morning, I felt the first nip of fall for an hour or so, but still don't see many signs of it in color. I suspect that will quickly change now, however! I like your new profile picture, Mary, and the tree in autumn color.
I love many things about fall, the crispness in the morning air, the changing of the leaves, the energy I feel in this season. The one thing I don't appreciate as much is the all too quick segue into winter. Love your new photo.

Geri, 'energy.' I never thought of 'fall energy,' but you are right. After the heat of summer most of us scurry around completing the unfinished tasks of summer before winter arrives.
Kristin, grapes, apples and pumpkins are my favorite fall treats. Later this week we are planning short drive to grape country in North East, PA, close to NY border.

Mary, Our dogwoods are beginning to turn. I predict in a couple of weeks we will have lots of color in Tennessee.
Mary - Nice photo. Almost all of the leaves are off the trees now here in Vermont. We have about 25% left.
