Jaywalker hit, killed by car on Goldenrod Road
A 22-year-old driver early Wednesday struck and killed a pedestrian with his car as the victim was jaywalking across Goldenrod Road, troopers said.
The man died at the scene. His name has not been released by Florida Highway Patrol.
Around 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, Taylor Castrianni was driving southbound on Goldenrod at State Road 408 in a Toyota Camry, a report said.
The pedestrian walked into the path of Castrianni's car, FHP said.
The man landed on the windshield of the car before being thrown to the ground, the report stated.
Castrianni suffered minor injuries, FHP said.
The crash remains under investigation.
