The I-90 Subarea is a neighborhood in the city of Issaquah located, as its name suggests, along  the Interstate 90, south of Lake Sammamish. The neighborhood roughly limits south with I-90, NW Sammamish Road and Lake Sammamish to the south, Issaquah Creek to the east and SE 51st St to the west. While largely commercial and industrial in character, the area has some one-family properties near its Lake Sammamish border and in its eastern edge.

Besides offering dining and retail options, the I-90 Subarea neighborhood is settled adjacent to Lake Sammamish State Park, a 512-acre day-use park with 6,858-feet of waterfront on the south end of Lake Sammamish. The area around the lake was an important culture zone for local Native American tribes for centuries. The park provides forest and wetland vegetation for the enjoyment of visitors as well as many recreational activities like kayaking, fishing and camping. The park features biking and hiking trails, sanded volleyball courts, two baseball fields, dressing rooms and a kid playground area. A salmon-bearing creek and a great-blue-heron rookery are also famous features of this park.
