One of our goals for to 2014 was to grow our team and expand to locations outside our base market in Palm Harbor Florida. Part of our strategy has been to call Realtors in the areas we want to work and we have a very specific criteria for what we are looking for. In other words we are not just calling anyone. So, if you were to receive a call from The Dietz Team regarding the possibility of going into business together, how would you feel about that? Most of the people we call are at the very least polite and professional and we are in discussion with agents that are interested in joining our team. The part I don't get though is the few that get offended that we would call them with such an insulting question. Why is this? Why do you think they are so put off, so offended that we would be interested in working with them. Now mind you, this only happens in maybe one out of ten calls but it still baffles me that they would be so offended. I mean, we have done our homework and we are calling them for a very specific reason. Like I said earlier, we don't just call anyone.
Here's my opinion for why a select few act as if we just asked them to come take out our garbage. EGO! I would love to give you a long worded explanation that would take up more space and earn more Active Rain points but that is really the only reasonable explanation I can give you. So, for the record, I receive calls, e-mails and letters from other brokers and I always listen. Why Not? I may learn something from them and isn't this a compliment?
So, if you are a Realtor in the greater Tampa Bay Area, you may get a call from The Dietz Team regarding joining our team. Please don't be offended if we call you and don't be offended if we don't call you. We have very specific criteria for who and what we are looking for.
