Halloween Events in Santa Clara County CA 2013

Every year, the Santa Clara valley has some great Halloween special events. The four events below are staples of this part of the country and if you've lived here for any amount of time you've likely participated in one of these events. If you are new to the area, or just visiting, you absolutely want to take some time to join in the fun at one of these four area attractions.

California Avenue in Palo Alto

Annual California Ave. Trick or Treat and Blossom Halloween Carnival. There is lots of fun stuff to do for the family. You'll find peformances from local entertainers, a costume parade and contest with prizes. Want to get a great picture of everyone in costume? Halloween photos are available. What would a carnival be without carnival games? Check, got those. There's a special arts and crafts area for making halloween masks, and even someone on hand to tell the kiddos some scary stories....but not too scary! And so much more! One of the best Halloween events in the Valley.

When: Sunday, October 27 10 a.m. - 2p.m..
Where: S. California Ave, Palo Alto.

California's Great America
Halloween Haunt

Are you interested in a little more scare for your Halloween adventure? Look no further than the Halloween Haunt at Great America. This is the place that Halloween fright comes to life. With an amazing collection of actors dressed up like some of the scariest ghosts and ghouls you can imagine, this one is probably a little too scary for the younger children. It's a haunted house on Steroids

Tully Road in San Jose
Dead Time Dreams

Maybe you want A LOT more scare? Then Dead Time Dreams is what you are after. This place is downright spooky. With three interactive haunted experiences, if you walk out of here without being scared it's probably time for you stop going to haunted houses. With some excellent Haunted attractions and nightly shows, Dead Time Dreams is sure to scare even the most macho among your group.

When: Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Oct 31st, 2013. Then the entire week of Halloween. See the full schedule here.

Uesugi Farms
Pumpkin Patch

Tons to do at Uesugi Farms. Some rides suited for small kids are always a big draw. There's a neat little train that takes the kids around the farm. A fairly easy to navigate corn maze that will have the kids confused enough to be fun but not leave them screaming for mom and dad.  There's a petting zoo where the little ones can get a little closer to nature....heck, even Mom and Dad can get in a few pets. The pumpkin lab helps you pick out the absolute best pumkpin for whatever you plan on carving into your gourd. For the more adventorous little one, a hay jump provides a little adrenaline.

When: Open daily through October 31st, 2013.
Where: 14485 Monterey Road, San Martin, California 95046.
Contact: (408) 778-7225.
