5 Seal Beach Students Selected for Explorer Police Program...

By
Real Estate Agent with Surterre Properties

In The OC, the Seal Beach Police Department has an "Explorer program" that will give area youth an opportunity to learn more about the Law Enforcement field.

Five students from Los Alamitos High School have been selected to participate in this select program, which falls under the umbrella of "Learning for Life".  Area students from 14 to 18 years of age and a good GPA are eligible.  Those selected had a great attitude and attendance record at school.  They can participate in ride-alongs, law enforcement concepts and procedures, help in special events.  The 5 will have an opportunity to participate in summer academy and boot camp at Camp Pendleton.

It is considered a privilege to wear an "Explorer" uniform.  Several current Seal Beach police officers have been in the Explorer program when they were young students.

Does your area have a program like this?  Email us it's success...
