Hi Pamela - That's excellent advice for tenants. If they take care of the property, they should be able to get all or most of their deposit back. In our state, if the landlord does not provide an adequate accounting or improperly withholds funds, he may be liable for triple damages. That keeps everyone pretty reasonable.
