A couple of weeks ago I watched my children do a community mud run. I stood on the sidelines cheering them on thinking of all the reasons why I couldn't do it.. Bad back, aches and pains ect although I go to the gym often I couldn't see myself completing this challenge. Last week my girls found another race to do and asked me to do it with them. I agreed. While running(walking) I watched people from not just my own community but from communities near and far working together, cheering each other on. It was as if nothing else mattered but helping the person next to you get through the next obstacle. I walked away from this event so proud of myself for completing this and over coming some fears but more proud of a community that brought people together--whatever their reason for being there. And helping a fellow neighbor through an obstacle
