The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow

By

SunnyIn talking with many people in real estate and in life I know bad external circumstances seep into them and make them unhappy. It just seems like it is natural. You get that bummed out feeling. But I am here to tell you that like taking an eraser to a highly chalked up blackboard, start erasing those bad feelings. Feel them yes for awhile but know that "inside", you are good. Inside is where your joy lives. Let no one person or external circumstances rob you of that goodness or that joy.

You deserve good feelings inside. You have to literally practice detaching your happiness from external circumstances. Maybe compartmentalize your day. At work or something someone said to you made you feel bad. Go home, feel that pain, but then release it. It wasn't you, it was that person or situation. You are still capable of being happy and having joy despite that. Find your inner peace.

And then remember, there is always tomorrow. A new day again to make the world a better place. Why?

BECAUSE YOU ARE IN IT with your inner joy.

Tomorrow Will Be A Better Day

Indeed, it's predicted to be a sunny and warm day in upstate NY tomorrow. AND, to make things a little more sunnier I am going to a seminar in the morning to get pumped up! - then I am meeting my niece and her 10 day old baby (my first glimpse of the newborn) to shop for their first house - their first househunting trip! - and I am sooo honored they asked me since it's a little out of my territory. I'm so pshyched about tomorrow that I wonder if I will sleep tonight!

Oh how I've missed your wise words my friend. It's so good to be back Gary to read up on the great knowledge you share with all of us. The sun will shine as brightly as we allow it and if we let it shine with a great burst, we will make it through. What a blessing you are to all of us here in the rain. Have a great week!

The sun is actually suppose to come out here today!  Gary - you are so right - I firmly believe that each of "decides" to be happy or not.  I don't know about you but I waste energy being unhappy!

Hi Gary,
Your post reminds me of a comment I left on Andrew Lenza's post yesterday which said "joy comes from inside, happiness comes from circumstances".

I just came back from Arizona where it was sunny everyday.  Not only was it the weather, but I was on vacation.  So far its been 48 hours  and I haven't seen the sun yet.  But I love your post anyway.  You always inspire me.  Hopefully  the sun will come out tomorrow.

Thats a very personal message for me Gary ....:-) very valid very true, but sometimes hard to do.  I remember someone once telling me that when you're feeling 'blue'....to set an alarm for say 2 hrs.......and allow yourself to feel as BLUE as you can........and when the timer is up - move on.  Theres something to be said for that.  :-)

So true, Gary! I was just talking to my assistant about external circumstances the other day & how we should be happy within ourselves and for me... the infilling of God's Holy Spirit!  Thanks for the post!

Liz: That alarm clock idea I think is a GREAT visual aid in thinking about feeling the pain for awhile and letting it go. After having that idea and writing about it I also thought about the special circumstances of grief from death, which I think is unique from grief from loss of other things - job, relationship, possession. Grief heals in its own time but the sting can always be there, even though time can take away its intensity.

Gary- I have the feeling you are just an ole hoppie, here selling real estate!  Ilove your philosophy and outlook on life!

And as I tell my kids, you cannot always choose your circumstances, or some one else' feelings but you can be in control of how you react to them.  The kids have no idea what I am talking about.

And, my graphic down below is "goatnut" is that a food or a piece of an animal's anatomy??

Vanessa: I think my wife is offsetting my cheeriness. I was checking that Little Orphan Annie song one too many times and I got an earful to stop goofing around. The ying and the yang of the universe you know.
